Armando Benitez Jr. moved from Mexico to California in the 1970s, honing his culinary expertise and love for authentic flavors while working as a line cook. His sister, Eva, pursued a similar path in the 1990s, gaining essential hospitality experience as a waitress in Texas before eventually joining her brother to fulfill her dream of owning a restaurant.
InJuly 1997, Armando Sr. Armando Jr. and Eva officially partnered to purchase a modest taco shop known as Carnitas Express. What started as a small, focus edventure quickly transformed into a mission to provide high-quality, homemade meals to their community.
